As another Floridian, I concur: Hope for the best, expect the worst. It can't hurt to be prepared. It doesn't really help to worry over it too much, so in general it's good just to keep an eye on things. After all, Wilma hit late last Oct, and she was even a 5 for a while, and still caused a lot of damage when she hit as a 3 . . .

Yep, and caused some trouble too. I'm an out-of-state college student, so I was planning to go home for fall break, and then my mom called me *the morning I was flying out* to be like, "You can't come, Wilma's now a 5 and headed straight for us." She was only a 3 when she hit, but it was still sad, cuz I had to stay in my dorm room by myself for four days. :( The place was pretty torn up when I did end up going home too. I was real worried for a while when she was a 5, but praise God she weakened. She hit late in Oct, too, only like a week or two before the end of season. One reason I never put too much stock in any person's prediction. :)
