Aww good post!

We just hit the one year mark on 7/24... can't believe how fast the year went!

We bought a house in April and have been working on fixing it up. After this weekend I think we'll be about 95% done with all of the things we wanted to accomplish (for now.)

We just got a puppy too! His name is Duncan and he's a golden retriever. Here's a pic! :)

Thanks for doing this post! I can't wait to read what people are up to!

We, too, are at ten months. We started trying to conceive back in April; no luck yet. This would be much easier to handle if his parents weren't grandchildren-centric, but I'll learn to deal with that.

Otherwise, we've simply been working and enjoying married life. We'd bought a house prior to marrying, and have two lazy, lazy cats. The house needs work, but not desperately, so we're saving up for each bit very slowly.

We might be doing a one year anniversary weekend...plans are still in the works!

We've been trying since just after my bridal shower last May. Hubby is an only child with a mother who is very much ready to be a grandma and Im the oldest of two with a brother who has no intentions of settling down with anyone for a long time and my parents have been ready to be grandparents since I started dating my husband 7 years ago. It doesn't help. Even if they don't directly say anything, you still feel the pressure.

I've learned never to say "Guess what?!" around them anymore. Especially the longer it takes us to get pregnant.

We hit one year on 3/1. :D

No children yet--they're expensive! Although most people are buying houses, we're losing ours--the foreclosure crisis hit pretty hard. Boooooo. Then again, the house we're currently in is a suck-tastic money pit, so there's a secret little yay in that, too. ;)

We got a dog as well! She's 50% German Shepherd, 50% Norwegian Elkhound and 100% funny-looking. Her name is Angua, and she is one of the sweetest dogs ever.

We were married at the end of September (we are nearly at 11 months) and have a (surprise!) baby on the way, due in February! No new pets, homes, or jobs... all that came right before the wedding, in a whirlwind of chaos.

We're hitting a year in November. Jack got a new job and we're getting a dog on Sunday!

Babies are expensive, but we've certainly talked about it a bit. Mostly, life has just gotten a lot easier since we finished planning the wedding. Is anyone but me just glad the wedding planning is all over? :)

ive been to a couple of family weddings this summer and as i watch them say their vows, I realize that I miss the day and the fun that we had that day, but I would NEVER go back and plan it again. The thought of planning another wedding makes me queasy and suddenly very exhausted...

I know. I keep saying that no matter what happens, I am never planning another wedding.

I don't care if we break up and I meet someone else, I'm just never doing it again. Unless I can throw money at someone and say "Here, you deal with this! I like blue!" and then not have to think at all about the rest of it.

Probably because I planned the whole thing by myself without any outside help (seriously, I have no living female relatives and my bridesmaids all live two or more hours drive away from here), but even the day of, I was a wreck. The pictures are gorgeous, and I'm happy to be married, but never ever ever again.
