Fiberglass made from oil.. keysboyAugust 20 2022, 14:45:21 UTC
All of that fiberglass up on the beach is made from oil. Now MUCH more expensive!
Thirty five years ago I had a boat (a Hatteras) that was made before the "Oil Shock" of the 1970s. The fiberglass in the keel was at least six inches thick.
I bought a different "yacht" .. a Carver.. in the 1990s. As you said, the fiberglass was so thin that you could see the sun through the side of the hull.
Now, with oil and fiberglass increasingly expensive, what will they make boats from? Certainly not wood! Perhaps boats from Paper?

people buy yachts based on their brand, and do not choose by quality, so my cat would now cost much more than a million euros, and not a miserable amount that is equal to the cost of the scrap metal from which it is made))
