Well I hope you add me. I am in Ireland but I have actually been in Texas State University (via Austin airport) to give a lecture and stayed with my friend in San Marcos. The adventure of a lifetime. I am a depressive, History nerd, lazy writer and an old school nerd (collector of stamps, postcards, coins, toy soldiers and ....actually I might be a hoarder.
dude i collect postcards. or at least i used to. i have SO MANY that i've kinda had to stop. in fact i'm trying to scan my favorites and just get rid of all the rest. but there are SO MANY.......... do you ever do postcrossing.com?
Yes....I joined PostCrossing about three years ago....but have not taken part in about two years. I preferred the "arranged exchange" to random exchange. Random Exchange made it difficult to get cards from smaller countries ....Russia, Germany, Ukraine seemed to dominate. There are also Facebook exchange groups. At heart I am a stamp collector and started collecting Irish cards as a secondary hobby. I now have about 1,800 Unused Irish cards, 800 plus unused USA cards and several hundred unused World cards....and of course a few hundred hundred posted cards. I have been in every town, village etc in Ireland at least three times and in the summer, I am starting my "farewell tour" which should occupy me for a few years.
