In general, people don't need to ask before friending me. When I see someone has, I typically look at their journal and then decide whether or not to friend them, which tends to be based on whether they have any actual content.

I understand that. The majority of my 'journal is locked to avoid drama with an ex-friend.

Ooh a fellow naalbinding geek! I don't do it as much these days, but I love to see what others are working on. I'm getting back into bobbin lace making again after years away from it. I'm a casual knitter, though I do have a weakness for making funky socks. I mostly post about my hobbies (textiles, dance, my horse), and a bit about politics. I'm Canadian though, so I avoid commenting on anyone else's politics as much as possible. May I add you?
