step 3: watch abortion rate "miraculously" plummet as people are no longer surprised when they get pregnant - yes, even the first time they have sex.
(sidenote: remind conservatives that pro-choice is NOT pro-abortion. just because i have the RIGHT to make my own choices about my body doesn't mean that i'll ever use them. but damn, is it nice to know that i can make my own desicions.)

ok, furthermore, here's why your solution enrages me: it sets the woman up as the only person at fault. it insinuates that the woman, and only the woman, is responsible for providing birth control (b/c she's preggers, so she's @ fault, so SHE needs HER tubes tied, while the dude that flounced around w/o a condom is free to - what, go do this to ANOTHER woman, who can then have HER tubes tied as well? and ps, it's a bitch and a half to undo that process, and as far as getting child-producing capabilities back, it's actually vasectomies that have a higher success rate when reversed.)
what sort of laws, dare i ask, are in place to make men take responsibility for their fertility mistakes? child support? i can't even get a rapist castrated in this country (hell, we can barely put child molesters away for significant portions of time, let alone incest perpetrators or serial asshats.) and you're telling me that we have effective means of preventing men from make poor choices with their sexual exploits?

See, this is the beautiful thing about democracy and the system we have set up. Of course my solution is flawed, *I* am flawed. So I post my solution, then you rebut and somewhere along the line we have something feasible that might possibly work for most people, if not everyone

Step 2: TELL TEENAGERS ABOUT CONDOMS, GOD DAMMIT.
