This was wonderful! I love the images, both in the words and in the art. Lush and beautiful.

The images were so gorgeous, I just sat and stared when they arrived in my mailbox! They blew me away...*happy sigh* Glad you enjoyed them and the fic!

Wow! What a great idea and excellent execution :)

And I loved the way you described Bruce's experience - "Was it like this for Kal all the time on Earth?" Interesting question... most fic I've read have had Clark's superpower sometimes be very painful for him...

Interesting question... most fic I've read have had Clark's superpower sometimes be very painful for him...

I often imagine he finds them frightening, especially when they first show up when he's young. My guess is most people who focus on them being painful are coming in from Smallville? That isn't a theme that shows up too often in the comics (to be honest, being frightening doesn't show up much either, but it seems a logical assumption when you think about it).

I suppose he's lucky it wasn't too overwhelming for Bruce to deal with! Even if Green Lantern thought it was okay, he's hardly unused to being meta...

Everything is painful and frightening in Smallville. Going to the shops is an epic endeavour that involves at least one love triangle and half an episode's worth of Meaningful Glances between no less than five characters.

The everyone goes to play pool. In a barn. With a fireplace. And pyramids.

... okay maybe I wasn't paying that much attention to the episodes I've watched been in the same room as.

*seizures of helpless laughter*

Oh, oh, thank you. You have made my night, and it needed some making.

Lana: Should I buy the red or the pink pumps?
Chloe: [MEANINGFUL GLANCE AT LEX]
Lex: [MEANINGFUL GLANCE AT CLARK]
Clark: [MEANINGFUL GLANCES AT LEX, LANA, and CHLOE]

I'm just kinda guessing at who would glance at whom, I have to confess...

I love that Bruce immdiately comprehends the capabilities of having Superman's powers, the power. That his newfound invulnerability allowed him to be somewhat vulnerable.

Eeee, that's a wonderful way of putting it! *looks at the sentence from all sides and shines it happily* Thank you!

I really really want to go to that planet. Sexy superheroic lover optional.

*grin* I fell in love with the planet itself while writing, I could see the landscape really clearly (the chalk cliffs were taken from Dover)...it sounds nice, doesn't it? And even better with a superpowered lover. :)

Hrm... I think that my newest fetish is the terrible eroticism of superpowers. Ah, Blark, will you never stop showing me teh sexy?

Also: The Dead Kennedys would turn over in their graves to hear me dorking around singing "It's a holiday in Kentopia / Where Bruce is dressed in black / It's a holiday in Kentopia / With Bats laid out on his back!".

I thought about that detail I read in your stories, with Clark hearing Bruce's pupils dilate. It's never really gotten sexier than that for me. :)

*snickers a lot* Indeed, the Dead Kennedys would do horrible, horrible things to you for that...

I thought that was in one of my Authority fics... or, wait, did I steal it out of someone else's Authority fic and use it in one of my DCU fics? I'M SO CONFUSED! (But I will happily take credit for someone else's sexy because I have no shame. Ahem.)

Either way, we require moar sensual!Kal, IMO. Super-vision is not even close to being the sexiest super-sense, and then there's that whole "my boyfriend is more powerful than your jet" angle; what man could resist that one? Certainly not Mr. "Does It Come In Black?", that's for sure. (I can't remember if it was a Blark fic or a SV!Clex fic I read once where BruceLex was theorising that Clark's unusually unmanly lack of interest in cars was a direct result of him being more powerful than them.)

I'm pretty sure it was in a DCU fic (I suspect the Pink K one?) and when I swooned over it you mentioned you had used it before in an Authority fic...so perhaps you stole it from yourself. :)

Oh, I do like that theory, and I can imagine Bruce finding it very sexy in a rather illicit way to be having sex with the most gorgeous piece of weaponry in the universe. ;)
