Here's an intermediate bali-song combo I made up. No editing, no music, simply click-clacking and flipping all in one short take. I start with a half twirl double-flip down opening, into a behind the eightball, an around the world, a hell behind the bend, a hellbent into a helix, backhand twirl into icepick grip.

I read some of the comic in Barnes & Noble and it was actually somewhat funny. I think I'm going to have to see it, if nothing else because I'm curious what tricks, if any, the little girl will do. I saw a bit of her using one in the preview, and she looked so scared.

Well done ^^
It reminds me of the nunchaku. I like watching my brother practice, and I'm always amazed by the skill that goes into it, and how brave you have to be to take the risk of potentially getting injured by whatever you're using.
Haha I have to admit, I was pretty worried you'd hurt yourself during the video, but I shouldn't have doubted you! You sure look like a pro :D

I get cut very rarely, usually cuts happen when I'm learning a new trick, but all these I've done hundreds if not thousands of times.
I'm good but I wouldn't call myself a pro. There are some people who are just amazing. Like Looseyfur74 on youtube. He's ambidextrous and specializes in doing aerials. He does things like throw the bali-song over his neck and catch it with his other hand.
Then you've got one of my other youtube friends Sungwei9 who is really awesome, he does a lot of zero gravity transfers. Brokenhorn90, who is extremely fast, etc. These guys have been doing it for years and they're the real pros. I've got a little ways to go before I'm at that level.

We both kind of missed the bali-song renaissance earlier this decade. Back then all the Benchmade 4x line were still being made, including a trainer. All had titanium handles, press fit pins, and spring latches, and they retailed for around $100 each. Now they've all been discontinued and more than doubled in value since then. There are no production titanium handled (which is what I prefer) bali-songs being made right now and probably never will be again.
