Last night I sat down to do a simple little design on the computer. My fingers have been trained on the PC now and it pisses me off. I used to be so confident with my key commands on the MAC, and now my hands go to the ctrl key...I know, they can be trained back - but what could be a term for being skilled on both platforms? I have the advantage that nearly all of my Windows use is done on a Mac, so I'm using a Mac keyboard. Getting used to the oddities of what happens in Windows vs in a Mac program is easier if I'm on the same computer, I guess.

so you can use a mac keyboard for a PC? Does the apple key do anything? Just curious...

Well, you can use a Mac-oriented USB keyboard on a Windows computer that supports USB keyboards. The Command key (with the cloverleaf symbol, and often an Apple symbol too) is probably ignored.

But I'm actually running Windows ON my Mac, so Virtual PC handles the fact that it's a Mac-oriented keyboard.

hmmm...cream rises...so I'm cream? In coffee? Cream is good? But cream makes you fat - but it also adds flavor...

I think I've told you this before. not really sure, but having to use both platforms at work on a daily basis (Mad: Design, PC: Development), I find it extrenely easy to go from one to the other. I don't even think about switcihgn any more. It just happens.

I wasn't trying to show off. =P I was just trying to say that with time you will be able to go back and forth between the two platforms.

In a related subject,
We're slowly phasing out all the Macs here at the studio. Next week I will be getting a super fast PC that will run laps around my current G4. The old days when Macs used to be the standard for graphics seem to be gone. PCs can do everything (and some times more) that a Mac can do. Some times even at twice the speed.
