As if life didn't suck enough --

24 hours until third and hopefully last attempt to quit smoking.

To show you how addicted I am, in case you didn't already know, am seriously considering stay up the entire twenty four.

Tomorrow, am buying gum and patches and all that fun stuff.
Sunday, will look longingly at all smokers.

I have a suggestion that I wish I had known. Drink LOTS of water. First off, your body needs the water when going through the nicotine withdrawal. Second off it gives you something to do instead of smoking. Sometimes I found I just had that craving to be doing something with my mouth and that's when I would really want to smoke. And you don't want to replace that craving with eating, so water.
Good luck. Its really hard, but you can do it. We are still keeping track of how long we've been non smokers and that helps too. Did you sign up for that program that tells you what the effects are on your body and your wallet the longer you keep from smoking. Its really cool. I think the financial impact was the one that was the most shocking to me.
Anways, it sucks, but best of luck!
