My mum is just wow
So my mum is part of this Christian message board. She likes to gossip about me on there because I'm such the sinner (trust me, nothing she's said about me on there is good). Anyways, I go and I check the board out from time to time just to see what she's saying. And I've got a good one: (dd = dear daughter)
"My dd cuts herself. (She is 22 years old and no longer lives at home, or I would watch her to make sure she doesn't.) She told me one time that she can't stop herself. She said she does it to cope with the pain. I told her that Jesus can take her pain away, if only she would give her heart to Him. So far, she hasn't taken Him up on the offer. I told her that she needs help. She's into the whole Gothic thing."
Watch me and make sure I don't? Yeah right. I've only been SI-ing for the past ten years. Six of those years were under her roof. Yeah, she really watched alright.
And I never told her that I couldn't stop. I may have said I'm addicted to it, but that's about it. And she never said to me that I needed help. I showed her the damage on my stomach (which looked like I was trying to demonstrate how to achieve texture on a scratchboard) and the only words out of her mouth were "Now how are you going to wear a bikini this summer?" I'm dead serious, that's what she said.
Furthermore being Goth has nothing to do with my SI.
The whole thing just makes me laugh because she is trying to come across to them that she's a good mum when she's not. At least not to me.
