ill say this as a former boyfriend to a few girls
i have a bad habit of pampering
and as time goes on i do it less and less because after a while girls expect it
and get pissy if i dont go the extra mile

making you dinner when you come over is expected
making you salmon and fetuchini alfredo and then
running you a bath and picking up some wine for you is pampering
after a while i get tired of being bitched at because i only made dinner
man the princess mentality has got to go
im sure as hell not putting up with it anymore

girls be thanksful you get dinner cooked and that i dont turn on the ps2 when you come over...for a guy giving up video game time and food is a big sacrifice...expecting a bath and wine will get you dumped!

being cynical all you life makes the "true love" relationships better. its funny. 8 months ago, i would have said that list was horse shit too! and you thought that you were cynical! sheesh, i was the queen! but with the cynical background, its a breath of fresh air when you find out that some guys really do do the things on the list. i dont expect it. (sometimes i dont even want it!) but it happens. there is value in being told your beautiful rather than hot.

the point i'm trying to make is that being cynical makes you not expect too much. then when he does something (godforbid) SWEET, it makes it actually special!

moral of my story: be cynical all your life and meet someone just as cynical as you are so you can lavish each other in gag inducing PDA and know that it's genuine and not forced due to expectations from either side.

Not everything on that list is horrible. I'd rather be called beautiful than hot, and it's nice to lie under the stars, but that little paragraph is indicitive of the craziness some girls expect from guys. I'd like to be treated like that (although I said it before and I stick by it, watching someone sleep is weird) but I don't expect it because it's just not what guys commonly do. That doesn't mean guys can treat girls like shit by any means, but that over the top romantic stuff...just doesn't happen all the time.
