I watched "No Direction Home", the new Bob Dylan documentary, on PBS tonight. There are several scenes from a show somewhere in England, I don't rememer the exact place, but that's not really important. If I remember correctly, lots of people were pissed off that he went eletric. Lots of people saw that as blasphemy because all the popular folk singers of the day were still playing acoustic and he was pretty much the leader of the pack. Unless, of course, I'm completely full of shit and I just got my facts wrong.

I dont know. It doesnt bother me when bands decide to experiment with musical influences that much, unless that musical influence is sucking. Good bands should never experiment with sucking. Maturing and refining your sound is perfectly a-ok by me, but as I've mentioned before, I do like my punk rock to remain fairly unrefined. There's nothing worse than over-produced punk rock.

The back up band he was playing with was the band. I am absolutly in love with the documentary. It is so good.
