Ma nursing school mate, Vic just rang to report a brawl at Cowgirl where she tends bar. Seems the ob/gyn nurses from Manhattan Downtown Hosp. had their xmas party there and got stupendously lashed and started fist-fighting each other. Po-po came and everything. AWESOME. Putting Downtown on the list of places to apply. BRUISER nurses = FUN WORKPLACE!
The Unicorn Free Clinic now open: Daniel's mother's wife sent us a free batch of H1N1 vaccines and needles (courtesy of CDC, thanks!) to stick the staff with and i've gotten loads practice inoculating everyone. WEE FUN, YEAH! And D. gave me mine after i gave him a crash course in intramuscular injections. He did a bang up job. None of us have died yet...so i think i'm golden, legal-wise. American health care system getting you down? CIRCUMVENT!
Goddang, it's FLIPPIN FREEZING. Who bikes to work in this sort of weather? Retardos, such as I. I hate when it's so cold, yer teeth throb and an ice cream headache sets in with one good gust of wind. The booth arcade here has fucking tumbleweeds blowing through, it's such a ghost town. Sad when it's too cold to fuck. Maybe they're ordering in.
Still, it's given me loads of free time to watch the copy of DEAD SET i downloaded.. which is THE SHNIZ. I've been on the edge of my seat for the last 3 hours. Crackin good times. Why has this not been made available to the american public? I've never watched more than 2 minutes of any incarnation of Big Brother in my life but i know Davina McCall, and her DEAD, splattered, and beating on the door? AWESOME. While Simon Peg may poo-poo agile, running-at-top-clip zombies...i prefer em. Mostly because my lung capacity is shit and i know i'd be done for if they existed and could. Run, i mean. So, my heart's a-pittering watching this thing. And the heroine is so...plucky and cute. Also, PAT KERRIGAN WITH 30-ought-6 rifle = GIRL BONER.
In family news: my lovely, sweet, used to be innocent and virginal, jesus-freak, recently lezzish cousin is still banging her (female, married with child) best friend but said friend has yet to hammer out her life, involving said husband AND they are about to go to Florida for a family holiday. Ugh. I think Cuz may slowly be going mad in this love limbo. On the bright side, she is moving to a new roommate-less flat so she can "shower with whoever she wants and make as much noise as she likes"... so at least she has the honey pot to stave off thoughts of ultimate heart-break. Bless this mess.
