AM enjoying the new Food Network spinoff, COOKING CHANNEL. They have cooking shows from around the globe that are SO much more useful and engaging than the current US ones on FN. I'm learning more about Chinese and Indian cooking WHICH YOU NEVER SEE ON FOOD NETWORK and also, they show reruns of the original IRON CHEF from the 90s. Iron Chef US does not even come close to the Japanese one's brilliance...or gaygaygayness (sorry Cat Cora - FAIL). I've dusted off my IRON CHEF DRINKING GAME rules and am gearing up for tipsy evenings of SEA URCHIN and HOMARD DUCK battles.

The new shows i've been introduced that I'm especially keen on have given me some new foodie infatuations.

Ching-He Huang is super cute...i crush hard. And she will flirt with ANYone and EVERYone, which is awesome. The banter and invasion of personal space going on between her and this strapping dyke rower obviously led to apres din-din bangin.

My other new crush and OT3 are these nerds from Toronto who've a cooking show called Food Jammers. They're in a band and the show itself plays some cool Canadian bands in the background during the episode. Also, foxy Nobu has a lovely wispy peach fuzz tache that gets me all giggly like a school girl. These guys dork out and build shit in their tricked out auto/crafts/tool shop -slash- loftspace home that they appear to share...all in order to prepare food with it. Like, they welded a car hood together and made an industrial power fan to create a perfect hi power frying station and made an entire meal of deep fried shit- scalloped croquettes, corn fritters injected with guacamole, fish tacos, fries (with home made ketchup). It was gross but cool. Ohh boys.

They're all quite adorable. I want someone to write some slash with Ching and the rower or these boys (cuz those boys are totally soul mates). Or Chairman "Gay as a Macy's Christmas Window" Kaga from Iron Chef for that matter. Does this even happen? Cooking show porn?
