Well, judging from the atrocious music changes that were done to the Skins dvds put out in the States, I'm assuming these bitches are too cheap to pay for tested entities and have to go with unsigned (bar) bands to fill out their background noise. I feel it is my duty to positively judge and lift the 4-5 songs that don't make me want to projectile vomit so that the series isn't completely ruined by the majority of aural offal in this competition. I mean, THERE IS A SHIT TON OF BAD COUNTRY MUSIC IN THIS CONTEST. Not that i don't like (authentic or satirical) country music... but IT IS NOT WHAT GENERIC AMERICAN EAST COAST CITY teenagers are fucking and drugging to. Or maybe it is. If this is true, i am verily disappointed in today's youth.
Say, i thought i saw somewhere someone reference your taste in music or love for it or whatnot. Do you have a Last.Fm account? If so, would you mind an add? ZONis_BOOM is my username if you're down. :-D
It just strikes me as being really odd. One thing Skins does well is the music. I don't understand why they'd put that to a vote any more than they'd put the plot or character development, or any other part of the creative process for that matter, to a vote. It makes no sense. (Although I remain convinced that any sort of external input - even that of a bunch of teenagers on the internet, or possibly some of the more intelligent non-human primates - would have vastly improved season 4 :/).
Erm, I'm not sure where you saw someone talking about my musical taste. It may have been gespawcho, perhaps? Either way, I'm not exactly sure I have particularly great taste. It's just kinda random really. I didn't have a last.fm account, but I do now! I've been curious about it for a while, so it seemed like a good excuse to create one. You'll be my first friend. Heh well.. I don't know if fan input would help or hurt this situation. I'm often distrustful of middle-American tastes... I think one would need to hire a very good music coordinator to sort through the "talent" submissions if signed bands aren't an option and perhaps not this vote option. I can only cross fingers that they've sprung for one for the American Skins. Quality music is so indispensable to the Skins narrative- and is often the main thing compensating for a piss-poorly written scene. Good music...or a lesbian thrown into a scene saved this show's bacon on too many occasions to name. ;P

Exams went a treat, thanks. I passed the NCLEX and received my RN license in the mail. I am now an unemployed Registered Nurse. Woot. I've recently been swamped with sorting my insurance coverage, getting my updated physical and inoculations record and CV in order to begin the job hunt. Also, its CMJ music week so i've a lot of shows on my plate to and i'm getting certifications to work an aid station at the NYC Marathon. I need moment to breath so i can catch up on fics and uh, Fitchcest fandom. lol. And commenting. I'm overstretched and overlame.
I feel like I haven't read anything in a dog's age and this saddens me. WAFD installment- hot dog and huzzah, bb- Looking forward, u know it. Anything else new writ or any recs you can point to with a finger since i've no time anymore to troll about searching? (
