I am so fucking sick of hearing about Rihanna and Chris Brown. blah blah blah. get over it. he hit her and she got her ass beaten. so what? who cares? there are other women right now getting their ass beaten by their husband or boyfriend.

There are far more problems in the world than their problems. Most of the time their "problems" are stupid crap people go through every day (ie: HOLY CRAP! SHE JUST ATE A CHEESEBURGER! THIS IS NEWS PEOPLE! BIG NEWS!). GAH, I wish people would just pay more attention to their own issues and not treat celebrities like they are god-like beings.

I guess because they are famous and teenagers look at them as role models. Honestly, if Rihanna couldn't have controlled her temper, Chris shoulda been like, "Look, you get your ass out of my Lambo and call a cab, and we'll talk when you calm yourself down." That woulda been bad but it wouldn't have been as bad as smacking the hell out of her. But yeah, I'm tired of hearing about it. It's not the public's business. It is their private matter. I feel bad for both of them because the media won't back off and stop reporting on it.

I just feel bad for her because as a woman, I can relate to how she would feel if a guy I seemingly loved beat me up. I've been around friends who've been abused, but in real life, most guys who beat their girlfriends get off with seemingly nothing.

I'm happy it HAS gotten press and it has brought a serious issue upfront so that people would take it more seriously now. Seeing it happen to a celebrity gives people a reality check that it happens EVERYDAY to ANYBODY. Something needs to happen about it.

But I am not happy about how the poor girl can't get alone time when she clearly needs it. Another reason why the media disgusts me.

I agree. It's a big deal when some superstar does it, but the woman next door could be getting it double-hard and twice a night and no one lifts a finger. Damn shame.
