I love this comm and I am in favor of moving to DW! I just migrated over there myself (same name) and plan on deleting this LJ in the near future. I'm primarily still here because I had volunteered to rec for April, actually.
I've moved my journal over to DW (as ancientreader) and am in the process of closing out here. I love this comm and will happily continue to participate over on DW. Oh, and I've been having a conversation with discordantwords over there, who's also interested.
I hate to leave LJ, but I'd say a move to DW makes the most sense. Can you leave a post here that says where to find the comm on DW?
I already have a DW account under the same name.
Also: deleting the comm or posts here won't prevent "them" from accessing it. "They" already have your info. If you want make a statement about their policies by deleting your journal or comm, that's valid, but might as well leave it if access to your info is your concern.
As far as this comm is concerned, the issue is not one of avoiding detection, unmasking, or observation.
Russian laws and policies are hostile toward free speech, political commentary, sexual preference and equality, and concepts of erotica. There is a heightened possibility of deletion and banning from publication on LJ under the new user agreement (English and Russian versions), though the danger is still theoretical. I would prefer to have the comm at DW right now.
ETA: there would of course be links to the new location. As I mentioned, there might be cross-posts to this comm from DW for as long as the comm exists here.

The rest of my reply was aimed at those who are deleting their journals here.
