“Another love letter again?”
Yuri smiled brightly at the cursive handwriting on the blue paper and turned around to face Taeyeon. She folded the paper carefully and slid it back to the envelope before placing it in her bag.
“Who wrote that? You’ve been reading that one letter out of the mountain you have every day.”
Taeyeon questioned as she walked beside Yuri, who was still hanging a smile on her face.
“You look happier nowadays too? Is it something to do with Yoona?”
“She wrote the love letters for me.”
Taeyeon snapped her head around and Yuri who was now holding a foolish grin on her face.
“Really?”
“Yeah.”
“Why would she act like she’s your crush when she’s your girlfriend?”
“I don’t know. But, it’s cute.”
Taeyeon rolled her eyes at the comment and patted Yuri on her shoulder.
“You looked like an idiot that has a new crush.”
“No, I’m an idiot that’s helplessly in love.”
“God! Save me!”
Taeyeon looked up to the ceiling and muttered loudly. Both of them chuckled loudly and walked down the hallway. Yoona smiled at a corner, finally understand what does Tiffany meant by she could make Yuri happy.
Yoona looked around the hallway suspiciously and walked on her toes towards Yuri’s locker. Pulling her bag to her front, she flipped the cover up and reached down to pull a letter out. Licking her dry lips, she took a quick glance at both sides of the hallway and when she was sure that the coast was cleared, she slipped the letter into the fine opening of Yuri’s locker.
Satisfied, she took a step back but a pair of hands slammed on the either side of her head, startling her and she turned around immediately. Her heart was literally in her mouth and her eyes widened when she saw the pair of deep brown eyes looking at her intently.
“What are you doing in front of my locker?”
Yoona wanted to run away, embarrassed for being caught red-handed, but she was trapped in between the locker and Yuri.
“I - I…”
“If you want to talk to me, do it in front of me. I hate reading.”
Yoona gulped guiltily. Yuri hated reading? She doesn’t know that at all, because Yuri seemed happy to receive her letter s for the past few days.
“What do you want from me actually?”
She wants Yuri to take her back. She wants to be the one who makes Yuri happy.
“No - nothing.”
“Nothing?”
Yuri stepped forward, her body is now against Yoona and Yoona gulped at the close intimacy in between them. A few students walked passed and stared at them. Yoona wanted to push Yuri away and run.
She lifted her hands and placed them on Yuri’s shoulder, ready to push her away but she stopped when she saw Yuri’s eyes filled with a mixture of cheekiness, sadness and fear.
“Can I ask you something?”
Yoona whispered softly as she stared at the necklace dangling on Yuri’s neck, trying hard to ignore the stares that were directed to them now.
“Sure…”
“Are you happy?”
Yuri frowned and stared at the locker behind Yoona’s head.
“If you’re asking about the time when you’re not beside me, then no, I’m not.”
Yuri replied with a soft gentle voice and Yoona bit on her lower lips, her heart clenched and her chest felt like a heavy stone is pressing on it.
It’s suffocating.
“What about when you’re with me? Are you truly happy?”
“Sadness is never in my dictionary when you’re with me.”
Yuri looked down with a smile and Yoona looked at her happily, her eyes were searching deep inside Yuri’s, finding evidence of lie but could not. It was only sincerity and truth that was present.
It works. It happened and Yoona broke her last wall of defense.
“Will… will you take me back?”
“Like I could say no to my only source of happiness.”
Yuri grinned big as she tilted her head down and planted a kiss on Yoona’s lips. Realizing what she had done, her heart skipped a beat as she doesn’t want to fight with Yoona seconds after they’ve patched up.
She didn’t mean to forget their ‘stranger’ policy in school, she was just too elated. Fearing that Yoona will be angry, Yuri pulled away from the kiss, though reluctantly and muttered sorry. However, before the word could came out, Yoona wrapped her hands around Yuri’s neck and pulled her in, their lips clashed onto each other’s and tongues dancing wildly to the sound of their heart beat.
Yuri was overjoyed and she swore she went to the moon with Yoona’s whisper after their furious make out.
“If you only have me in your eyes, then I’ll only have you in my eyes. Screwed those that hate me, I only need you to love me.”
Yuri beamed brightly and gave Yoona a chaste kiss, muttering lightly on her lips.
“I only have you in my eyes and I’ll love you forever, so please have me in your eyes and love me too.”
“I love you.”
It’s never a confession anymore, but a promise to Yuri forever.
“Who make you changed so much?”
“Tiffany Unnie and Jessica Unnie, who happens to be your cousin.”
Yuri arched an eyebrow and repeated the names.
“Sica?”
“Yes, Tiffany Unnie is her girlfriend.”
“Wow, I didn’t know that. She told me her name was MiYoung anyway.”
“MiYoung? Tiffany Unnie told me she hates that.”
Yuri smirked and laughed softly.
“Yeah?”
A bad thought appeared in her mind as she finally found a way to get back Jessica for teasing her about her love life now.
“Shall we go home now?”
Yuri asked and Yoona nodded happily. Yuri smiled at her gently and turned to walk but Yoona tugged on her hands softly.
“Yeah?”
“Jessica and Tiffany Unnie helped me a lot. But you’re the one who changed me actually.”
Yoona looked down on the ground shyly and added on quietly.
“You made me felt deserved to be loved by you.”
Yuri stepped back and engulfed Yoona in a hug.
“Only you deserved and no one else.”
Yoona grinned at the familiar line above Yuri’s shoulder and hugged Yuri back.
“Why?”
“Because… I am an art piece that is owned by you. My heart belongs to you.”
Yoona pulled away from the hug and planted a kiss on Yuri’s lips.
With a wide grin, Yuri held Yoona’s hand delicately and walked out of the school, heading back to their shared apartment.
It’s enough. It’s enough for Yuri.
As long as Yoona is back, everything is worthwhile.
