Last night I dreamt that the Beatles had reformed, and by some peculiar fluke I had been asked by Paul and Ringo to play bass guitar. I know. Paul McCartney also plays drums, keyboards, and lead guitar, though (hence the quote "not only was Ringo Starr not the best drummer in the world, he wasn't the best drummer in the Beatles either"). Maybe he'd decided to take over George's guitar duties. Then again, maybe I was just dreaming complete rubbish.

I always thought that best drummer quote was a reference to the first drummer the beatles had (Pete Best?). Amusing, I never saw it that way before. Paul McCartney's ego is now so big that it blots out the sun when he rides along Brighton seafront, so his claims of drummerness are not convincing to me.
