i've been reading a book for about two months. heh. it's called the demon haunted world and is by carl sagan and i think absolutely everyone should read it. it's actually a fairly quick read, but i have been putting it down and picking it back up, in between other books (mostly fiction), rather than actually dedicating my time to it. i think it

That is a great book. Have you read "Brave New World" by Aldous Huxley?

Also, if you want a really quick, but informative book... Check out Neil Postman's "Amusing Ourselves To Death: Public Discourse In The Age Of Show Business".

i read brave new world about five years ago, but i've been meaning to re-read it for quite some time. perhaps i can get a hold of a copy of the book you mentioned and read the two simultaneously, seems like it may be interesting.
