Why is it they always got Maurice Chevalier for every part that required a French guy? He was also in this Paul Newman movie I saw recently that made me want to travel back in time, go to Paris and meet Paul Newman, but I haven't figured out how to make that work yet.

Uh-oh. That square French judge? He's flirting with Frank's girl. If I were to believe that Frank had feelings for some girl in a night club, that's what I would call her. Otherwise I will call her Shirley Maclaine.
Or this could just be a sting operation to see her dance the Can Can. It's illegal! But I think people would definitely be down the road at the Moulin Rouge if they knew what was going on there.
Oh, the square French judge is after Frank's girl (again, sorta)! I wonder what's going to happen...
Oh, God, it's worse than I thought. They're going to sing... the song Frank just sung!
I can't believe Cole Porter wrote this crap. If you watch this, I would advise having your Moulin Rouge soundtrack on hand to deal with gaps like this in the quality of song lyrics.
Did you know Wikipedia says Frank Sinatra performed at the Moulin Rouge? Do you think he did the Can-Can? Doubtful. Bet he saw the Green Fairy, though.
Did you know Russell Crowe almost had the part of Christian in Moulin Rouge! ? That's so close to my concept for Bidon Rouge that it's terribly frightening.
Oh, God, Maurice Chevalier is going to sing again. Not that I think this is really singing. It's sort of just talking to a melody. The square French judge is singing now.
I guess if you've bothered to read this far, you've wondered what happened. Two things happened: my hand started to hurt from typing so much and second, the movie got really boring. The square judge was going to marry Shirley, then Frank tried to thwart it for reasons I don't quite understand and yeah, well, I kind of stopped watching the movie after the square French judge decided he didn't want to be a square anymore. Then Shirley tricked Frank and I really didn't care. At all.
So, that's it, I can make it through live blogging Cleopatra, but not Can-Can. I apologize to my public. I'll try to live blog something else, it will probably have Paul Newman in it, I don't know.

Oh, God, Frank is going to sing about love... Not in the awesome way he normally does. Sing "Night and Day"!

Because we can Can-Can!
Oh, the square French judge is having a moral dilemma about hooking up with a Can-Can dancer.

Uh-oh, I think Frank could be jealous of the square French judge.
