Today I'm playing suzie homemaker. I'm making cookies. Tons of cookies. Today is the first day of school so in celebration of quiet days off with no kids I'm making cookies for them and for me. oh yes, yummy yummy. I like to put royal icing on them. it brings out the flavor of the cookie. but only a little icing. I was actually going to make those first but then ran into the gingersnap cookies first.
I ended up making scotch shortbread cookies instead of the brownies. now im going to go ahead and make dinner,

rice, fish and shrimp toast.

I've never heard of royal icing. My mom used to make mollasas cookies, occasionally. Every time she did she swore she'd never make thme again because they were such a pain to roll out.

royal icing is just a fancy name for the thin icing that you make with powdered sugar, milk, butter and vanilla.
