Well, you are very welcome.

I personally can't stand it when a man shakes my hand if I didn't extend it first. But then I feel like I can't be rude so I go ahead and shake it. This is why I put this post out there.

well. to a point i'm with you all the way......... except - i agree women should be equal - no exceptions. so - when being introduced to either woman or man - and whether you are either - stand! extend both male and female the same courtesy. same goes for shaking hands - extend a hand to women as well as men - surely that's good manners?

by the way - i open doors for women - and when i'm approaching a door with another man - i always let them through first.

i'm not perfect/correct/unique - i just think manners are something we all should have.
