If it wasn't for him we wouldn't be living in a house, since I have refused at a young age to ever get a house. But he changed that idea for me because he knows how to fix things. He can build and repair without the aid of a hired handy man. He has saved us so much money. And speaking of saving money.....He can fix things on cars too. He can change ( Read more... )

Yup...me, I look at a car and am like...this things dangerous. Sharp moving parts, electricity, explosive gasoline....and all that messy grease. *lol*

I did try being the industrious carpenter, until while trying to put up shelves I drilled thru a hot water line. Fun, fun, fun...

All the more so because my brilliant idea (which was indeed brilliant and prevented the whole wall from being ruined) was to use a straw and have the water come thru the straw instead of hitting the back of the wall. However, my mom brought me one of the talking Tarzan ape straws. So the whole time I am waiting for the plumber holding this straw it's laughing at me. Mocking me...

i'm handy like your husband - so i'm good for fixing brakes, oil, ceilings, plumbing, electrics, etc etc. but we wouldn't have a house if my wife wasn't so good with organising the little money we have. I earned a third of her salary and when she had our daughter and wanted to stay home to raise her, she organised our budget to the point that we now don't have a mortgage (it's paid!) and we can get a new car every 2 years - yes i grumble sometimes about having to fix and repair - but i also delight in spending money on treats.

may i add you to my f/list?
