He knew he was fortunate, for few men had such help when building their homes. Dwarves, Elves, Men, and Hobbits all worked together to create this masterpiece of the Fourth Age, the fair Emyn Arnen. Warm and inviting, not proud and stern, it blended seamlessly with its surroundings, welcoming all travelers. Now the task was done, and he stood like a statue before the Great Window, or so Master Pippin had dubbed the stained glass in the Hall. He felt her warm presence beside him, and wrapped his arm around her waist, as she leaned her head on his shoulder.
