My eyes are green, by the way.

Would you rather have 20/20 vision with brown eyes or have any sort of non-serious prescription (myopia / hyperopia, astigmatism, etc.) with light coloured eyes?

I had this conversation with Nancy once, I picked perfect vision in brown eyes, but I don't remember what she said. For the record, both of us wear glasses and contacts.

At the same time?

I considered adding a "not at the same time" disclaimer, but I figured no one would be a smartass about it.

For that comment, I use the Bill Cosby punishment userpic.

I don't remember having the conversation at all. I'd go with 20/20 vision but ONLY if it was guaranteed to stay that way cause otherwise you'd just end up with both ... like me right now.

But I don't think having light eyes is such a big deal. I would never wear colour contacts if I didn't need them to correct my vision anyway.

The whole idea came to me when I noticed that women used in cosmetic ads (minus celebrities and people of ethnicities where light eyes are uncommon) usually have light green or blue eyes.

But I'd trade my green eyes for permanent perfect vision.

Function wins over aesthetic every time, with me. Though they need never be mutually exclusive: In a world where brown was consistently associated with "perfect", brown would be my new green.
