Neddy murmured softly as he was led from the room. It was all so very wrong. “J-Jack?” He asked once or twice, trying to curl up.
“You’re safe.” They answered, attempting to keep him from bolting back to that small room he had been kept chained up in. “We caught the criminal Jack.”
“Jack!” Neddy wailed at his master’s name, and he curled up in their arms, resisting help. “I-I want him.” He declared softly.
They looked at each other, confused at why this person wanted the very criminal who abused him badly.
Jack, far away and in prison, smirked.
