The past two weeks have been both the best and worst parts of the deployment so far. It was really really really awesome to spend a week at home with Sarah. We spent the entire week together, and it really bolstered our confidence in the strength of our relationship and gave us a really positive attitude about the months to come. I love you. Last week was awesome having you home; but before we know it, it'll be spring, and then fall, and you'll be home for good : )

Hey Batt...

Glad you got a little R&R before your deployment... Now you gotta stay focused on the task at hand...

Remember what DS Saenz said... every bootstep you make is yours -- that becomes your little part of the world and you won't give it up to anyone... stay tight with you men... keep them focused -- it will help keep you focused... keep your gear and vehicles combat ready at all times... the rest will work itself out...

Friends, Family and Fiancee are all pulling for you and can't wait for you to get back...

Whatever you need, let me know... care packages will be sent out ASAP...
