Me too! There's a good Belle and Sebastian song called "The Chalet Lines" where Stuart (a boy) sings from the perspective of a girl who has just been raped and thinks she's pregnant. It seems weird to just say it, but it's a good song. A sad song. I just thought it applied...
i absolutely adore that song.. as much as one can adore such a subject.
yeah i was gonna sing that song at my sister's college, they have a Take Back the Night program.. its where people get together, women and men to end physical, sexual, verbal.. and basically all forms of abuse. Its put together by Women's organizations usually.. but because of that.. there is always a low figure of male audience members. if only they knew how supportive they could be.
yeah stuart really breaks my heart in that song. its beautiful.. i love the way it ends.. musically (sp?) and lyrically (sp?)
