Aaaaand I just sent in my proposal to give a paper at the 2015 Medieval Academy of America meeting - Woohoo! Here's hoping it's accepted. Today Meg texted me that she'd overhead a student on campus recommending my class to their friend, saying I was a great teacher and adorable.

Weekend FTW.
Oops, instead of a super-productive Saturday of bad-ass gettin-it-done grading and dissertation work, I went to yoga, the farmers market, and made some more plans for the Germany trip. It's been such a nice Saturday, so I'm not even sorry! And tomorrow, I get to see my husband play Romeo onstage - Shakespeare's Romeo. *swoon. -

Casey's out supervising employees at an overnight job. So, instead of making good choices and going to bed on time, I've stayed up editing photos, watching Buffy, doing a bit of latin (yay?), and shopping online. Oops. Tomorrow might be rough. -
workaholic neighbor
The only other person that Casey and I actually know in our building is a guy named Adam - he's been here about as long as we have, and so we chat in the lobby and on the stairs, and about our dogs, whenever we run into one another. I just bought a citrus juicer on Amazon for the express purpose of making delicious fresh squeezed OJ like they have in Spain. I really miss being in Spain guys.

Ladies, Lattes, Latin, etc.
Today I hosted all the SLU historian girls (Sammy, Katie, Sara, Rebekah, Nichole, Carolyn, Elizabeth, and Meg - there's actually a lot of them now, wow!) for a potluck brunch.
