"What do you think would make a bloke try something like that?"
Vincent Crabbe jumped, looking around wildly for the sound of the high-pitched girly voice. Remembering their altered appearances, he glanced involuntarily at Goyle, then awkwardly looked away.
"The tapestry?" he asked, glad for a distraction.
Goyle grunted in answer, and they stared at the tapestry where a decrepit wizard stood in front of a band of mountain trolls, demonstrating a complicated-looking dance move.
"Well, he's Barmy, isn't he?"
Goyle snorted, adding, "Too bad they don't name folks like that anymore."
He nodded, amused. "Hagrid the pissed."
"McGonagall the bossy--"
"Umbridge the wide--"
"Dumbledore the senile."
They fell silent then, sobered by the thought of what was to come. Malfoy wouldn't tell them the details of the plan, probably because the git didn't have any, but they'd an idea of their goal.
They watched as the trolls turned on their would-be trainer, beaning him with clubs before stringing him up with their own tutus. Usually, this was their favorite part, but this time they watched in silence. Maybe it was just the weeks they'd spent waiting in this corridor, but somehow it just didn't seem as funny.
