I just love it... when people write to me and tell me that they've been inspired by my work.  It makes me feel good to be a motivational point in someone's life...  to influence their art in such a way.

However...

When people write to me saying thanks for the inspiration and I visit their page and find that they were not only inspired by a tattoo I ( Read more... )

knock-off, copy, no creativity, scratchers, no individuality, bad artists, pissed-off me, no respect, rip-off

I'm sorry to see anyone misappropriating anyones work.
I can't believe the nerve of people. If they can make it themselves cheaper tell 'em go for it. I know it'd be nowhere near the quality of what you do.

And I should take this time to apologize to you. Years ago I was going through a very difficult time. I still hit my low points now and again. I have a problem with the passage of time. It's like time rushes by and the days run into each other and before I know it, years go by. Anyway, you had made a necklace and offered it to me... but at the time I was very low on cash. By the time I remembered, the time had long passed and I was embarrassed to get a hold of you because of it. Because of that I missed the opportunity to get a one of a kind necklace that was absolutely gorgeous. I hope it found a good home. Wherever I go I look for things similar, but I've never seen anything even comparable. I just wanted to tell you how wonderful I think your creations are. :)

Ohh, that's so sad... I can't believe that people would do that. Some people would think anything was clip-art. Not just any kind of artwork, but tattoos, of all personal and intimate things!

The wolf tattoo you did really is a masterpiece, so it's not surprising that the rip-off of it turned out the worst. And the fairy was copied at least twice... that's crazy. I feel sorry for the people wearing the plagiarized tattoos who didn't know... they're the ones paying for it.

Aagh, this makes me so mad! Ordinary plagiarism is nothing compared to plagiarizing something that's going to be permanently inked on someone's body. Ripped-off paintings and essays aren't even so cruel.
