I'm amazed that so many people don't think of the Moon landing with any amount of reverence and awe. It is among the pinnacle achievements for the human race, proving yet again, that if we put our minds to something other than petty scuffles, we can do pretty much anything. It seems that many of our greatest achievements do arise in the shadow of conflict and makes for great juxtaposition.

was "i, robot" your basic hollywood man invents things that he can't control movie? (terminator, matrix, akira, jurrassic park, etc.) i'd like to see a hollywood movie where the moral(s) are that technology is wonderful, that city life could be better than country life and businessmen are not always concentrated evil. it doesn't even all have to be in the same movie.

it's particularly striking when i come across someone who is so used to thinking this way, they don't even recognize it. a few years back, i was arguing with someone and he insisted that israel's army was really well trained and could assasinate all the leaders of terrorist movements, but it chose not to because they wanted to hurt palestinians. there was simply no convincing him otherwise.

too bad so many comedians are leftists; this is a goldmine.
