Wow. I never, in a million years, thought I'd be going to a sci-fi convention... but wonders never cease!!! I attended EyeCon in Orlando on April 4-6 and it was SUCH a blast - I can't believe all these sci-fi people have been hiding what a great event that is for all this time (LOL!)

I take a pretty good picture if I do say so myself LOL I'm glad it turned out. I can't beleieved I missed the WB group shot. I came back and everyone was gone ;-(

I'm so sorry Winter - which one are you in the pic? My mind is just swimming with names and faces - now, if ya'll had a dog or a cat with you? I'd remember you like 'that' *snaps fingers* (I'm a vet)... I'm sorry you missed the WB group shot! =/ We'll just have to make a point of getting together at another con to do it again!!!

I was at the EyeCon and at the banquet with you; I am "GrandMa's" daughter. I love your Journal entries. I had every intention of writing up every impression I had from the Conference, but the internet was down in my room until Sunday night and I never really got around to it (so far). As a matter of fact, I registered with LJ just to comment about EyeCon. I think you should go for a photo Op. Even though we only get a matter of seconds with the stars, there is nothing like getting an actual hug from Jared *sigh*. I wish I had the nerve to get a great shot of Jared playing around, but I hate asking him to do anything special because he was so rushed. Thanks for your great post!

I would love to go the the Texas Convention in June because both of the boys are confirmed, but how can I explain to my husband that I just have to go to a second convention so soon after my first convention ever. Also, they are sooo expensive, I am starting a new job in the middle of May, and my daughter is getting married May 10th. I have the same type of problem for the second EyeCon because I have already bought tickets for the November convention in Chicago. I wish I made enough to go to one every month. I can't believe what a good time I had. I expected to enjoy the Q&A session with Jared, but I wasn't expecting to like everything as much as I did.

I am sure I will see you again though, because I am addicted to these... I just have to think of a reason to give my husband for these weekend excursions :-)

They are really hammering us with cons this year, aren't they??? Every one of them is different in their own way - so you almost HAVE to go to each one to get all the experiences... but then again, thank goodness for all the online vids that we can catch. Certainly it doesn't give you the full experience - but at least you can get a taste! I'm starting a new job in July and I think my life will basically be over for the next 3 years. But hopefully I will get a break and will be able to head to one or two! I'll be an hour away from Lawrence, KS so hopefully I can catch KazCon if they do it again! =D

Anyway - hope to catch you at future events!!! =D
