Thinking about Art

I use to love to draw. As a kid, I would sit on the couch or on my bed, and draw for hours. I'd leave a trail of paper behind me. It wasn't always fun, but I always felt good about it. When it was hard, I felt challenged and motivated to get past that hurdle, whatever it was. Everything was "How can I draw that?" or "How can I make my drawings ( Read more... )

I was actually depressed most of the time I was in South Dakota. But if you'd asked me about it then, I would have denied it. I didn't even realize what was going through until after I got out of it. (But Mike had an inkling, and he worried.)

Things are better between Mike and I. The turning point was when he stopped being so critical of everything. After that we got along much better. ;)

Yeah... my other nick online "Draw2much" comes from my childhood obsession with drawing. My Dad would bring paper used at work and I'd just draw draw draw. Hahaha.... and then my Mom would complain about the mess I'd leave behind.

Ah, good times. Good times. :)

Maybe. Sometimes I feel like I just need to get my muse back. I need to find something worth drawing for again. Feels like I don't have anything worth putting down on paper now....
