Season's Greetings, Crusty. I hope your health is staying good. I saw my oncology Doc for my annual check-up, last week, and got the all-clear again.
I don't know if you heard about it, over there, but the UK has taken quite a battering in storms, over the last week or so, and my big glassfibre 2m/70cm whip, up on the chimney stack, got snapped in two! It is still up there, flopping about, but there is nothing I can do until the weather improves, and I can get a ladder up there. If it will repair, I'll break it down into sections, then wind glassfibre bandage around the tube, starting above the split, and going all the way down to the base, layering it in tapers to spread the loading. The actual antenna is still whole, but the swr is waving around all over as the wind shifts the pole about. So, I'm temporarily QRT on the higher bands, and the propagation has been rubbish on the lower bands. I read on a report that this sun-spot cycle has seen the lowest count for a long time.
