I wanna go see The Strokes :( They're on my list of people to see (Yes, I have a list) and now Ive got the chance to and Im like....hrmmm, should I?? I cant really afford it, but then I cant afford anything right now and that doesnt stop me from spending stupid amounts of money on stuff I dont need :P I need to ring you soonly and yell at you. I dunno why Id want to yell at you but, Ill think of something.

Although I remember Julian saying in an interview that he hated video clips, and he didn't like the gimmicky ideas in them, so he was gonna only ever have videos where the band just plays the song.
Well, the band are just playing the song, but they are doing it in a brushed aluminium encased shipping container that is slowly filling with murky water.
So I'd say its a gimmick.
Although Fab, just stand up! The beat isn't that important!

i think they've changed a lot of thei opinions about that, and sorta realised that to sell records and get crowds at their shows maybe they needa do that kinda stuff, even if they dont wanna
