There's a Sex and the City episode where Carrie has jury duty, and the man sitting next to her brings mangoes and coconuts in his briefcase. I'd go solely for the people-watching, but it seems your experience was less interesting...

It would be an interesting experience under other circumstances, I'm sure, but I was just nervous that I would get put on a jury and not get to go to France (even though I knew the possibility of that actually happening was slim to none).
