That actually really scared me. D: I don't suppose it helps that I'm reading a book about the Cold War.

It was beautifully written, and they were both very in-character. Ivan's dialogue was especially good.

I know that you wrote this nearly a year ago but holy shit, I just read this recently on the kink meme and then mounted a desperate search to see if you had de-anon'ed because I love love love love this. Like, I am even pretty wary of super dark Hetalia fic because... man, the series is so cute and feel good and...

But seriously, this is intense and incredible and, sure kind of totally hot.

Oh, wait. The intelligent thing I meant to say was this:

I've always thought that Russia's particular brand of psychotic crazy is a little more innocent and benign than the fandom tends to interpret it, so the thing that impresses me most about this fic is that you manage to make him terrifying and threatening while maintaining that aspect of his character. Especially in lines like this:

“I see you have taken Novosibirsk and Omsk at once.” A warm little chuckle. “How nice. They will not have to fight any longer.”

Yessssss.
