So you walk into your home office and by surprise catch your 13 year old son on your computer. He quickly turns it off and rushes out of the room. He isn't supposed to be using it, and he knows it, so you assume his hasty departure is due to such ( Read more... )

How old is this daughter?
If she's legal her mother might possibly already know and be annoyed by your advise, if she's not her mother needs to know.

She's legal. I don't know how old exactly, but definately over 18. What if it was Mya? Would you want to know? It's not an issue of "should she be doing it" as much as "should I let you know she's doint it"? If that makes sense.

I already know Mya has done similar stuff, we discussed it before she was legal and after.
I would want to know and I get where you are coming from, just sorta seems like one of those situations where the messenger is going to be a target.
Before she was legal and I knew she hadn't done anything like this I had people messaging me saying stupid things and even showing me girls who looked similar to her in semi clad situations. It was annoying as well as the outraged righteous attitude of some folks.

See, I suspect her mother might know. They aren't really "close" but from what I know of her daughter she would tell her such a thing just because she wants her mothers "disapproval". If you understand what I mean.

My biggest worry is that I am gonna be called out as the one who did something wrong because I happened across the video.

I heard rumors that Mya had done some naked cam stuff, but I never saw any proof of it.

Not that I'd watch it. Don't get me wrong, Mya is beautiful, but I prefer to know a person better before I would watch such a thing. If I didn't know anything about her, might think differntly...Plus, you being my friend I wouldn't feel right knowing she was your kid.

That all said, I agree with you that "kill the messenger" comes to mind, but like you said, You'd want to know. So, I have to figure out to let her know without being killed as the messenger.

Thanks!

Well first I would want to ask when did your son come back to live with you, and I'd want to know the details around that situation!

Then I would ask if she was legal, but Phaedie already did.

I think I would want to know, just so I could be aware and monitor the situation. Also so that I could be prepared for future contact from less-understanding individuals.

He didn't, he was here for a few days because we had a family reunion and every suspects it will be my great aunts last, so we were doing family pictures and it was fitting to have him here.

Yeah, that's me. I would try not to judge my kid if she chose to do such a thing, but I'd hate to ambushed with the info and not know anything about it.
