I think it's safe to say that Jack may never actually use this journal for anything he's suppossed to.

We all talk, and sometimes we make up stories. Especially about Daniel.

Sam can't cook. Or maybe it's just that she shouldn't.

She once almost killed Janet and SG-1 with some poorly thawed and cooked turkey (and then blamed the oven). She has also had run-ins with a waffle iron and the fire department has been called at least once (after which she received four fire extinguishers--from Janet, Jack, Daniel, and Teal'c).
