Forgetting Something?

First fanfic post to LJ. Please be kind, it's unbeta'd. If it's too boring just let me know and I'll re-write it. I thought it might sound rather monotone, but you can be the judge of that :D

Please Note!

This story will alternate chapters between Roy and Ed’s point of view, so the entire thing will be written in first person.

First-I love your icon=3

Second-I like your story. The blot bunny is really great! I like how you took into account the fact that after five years Ed would look different, kudos there. I would watch out for making Roy a little out of character there at the end, not a bad statement, just think of how Roy would word it. But that was like the last paragraph and the rest of it was very Roy! Anyway I really like the plot and hope you continue it!

Love,
Joker

first- :D thank you! I rather liked it myself.

Second- Thanks for the kudos, and I think I agree with you on the last sentence or two. It's seems a little too much gooey/mushy/anthropormorphic-blob-of-emotions, but at the time it was supposed to sound like a declaration of strength and rightousness and all that business. I will have to make sure I do not slowly turn Roy into a Major General with the emotional foothold of a young schoolgirl. Thanks for reviewing!

I like it! Writing in first person for the whole thing ain't gonna be easy but it's good so far! :) Hopefully Roy's task of bringing Ed back won't be that hard as Ed seems to be able to remember things just from their one brief conversation. He remembered his name. That's as good a start as any! :) I can't help but wonder if maybe Ed hasn't necessarily forgotten himself but has sorta repressed his memories for some reason. The knowledge is there; it's just up to Roy to jog Ed's brain into working again! :) My one fear is that Roy will regret making Ed remember himself. Ed is definitely not content the way he is now and there's no guarantee he will be once he remembers. I do however think that Ed will find some peace with/come to terms with/acceptance of himself when he remembers. Ed is like a puzzle that's missing a few pieces and there's nothing more frustrating than that! :) More fic soon please!

Splee! Thank you! I just re-read it and noticed a couple errors and repeated words... which is kind of bugging me.

Ed definately has memories in his head somewhere, maybe he just misplaced them. And besides, without bias of his former self Edward is, in a way, more Edward than he could have been before. Pure personality, perhaps?

This identity business has too much contridicting philosophy in it XD I have a headache now.

I always have a hard time picturing Ed with a beard though D; not sure why. But this story seems very promising!!
