Rating: R..sex..but pretty sex..not graphic or rough like I usually write
Pairing: Sidney Crosby/Alex Ovechkin
Disclaimer: *shakes head* won't say it..I own them and I keep them in a little box on the offseason to fuck for my viewing pleasure :D...*gets poked by reality* DAMNIT...alright alright...I don't own them, they own themselves and the NHL owns them to an extent...

I tweaked reality a bit lol...besides the whole slash thing, 'cause in reality Evgeni Malkin knows like NO English at all..he needs a translator for interviews...so yeah he speaks English pretty well in this one for my purposes...

Sidney runs, or actually, skates quickly away from the line of coaches and players that had congratulated him just seconds earlier and races to the locker room.

Once he's there, he drops onto a bench next to his locker, his head falling back against it as he sighs. His first playoff series and they'd lost, lost badly, lost in a shutout to Ottawa, and there had been nothing he could do about it.

Evgeni has followed him into the locker room, but he says nothing until he notices his teammate's pretty brown eyes glistening with tears as he tosses his skates away from him with frustration. "I'm sorry, Sid," he says quietly as he steps out of the shadows.

Sidney's eyes snap to him immediately and he swipes at his face quickly, trying to stop himself crying in front of  his friend. "I-it's fine, Ev. I should have known we wouldn't win the first one. We're nowhere near good enough."

Evgeni sits next to him on the bench and pulls his friend close, wrapping an arm around him. "It still hurts, Sid, and don't you dare tell me it doesn't." He feels the younger man relax and soon his arms are full of a crying Sidney Crosby. The younger man is wetting his shirt but he really doesn't care. He knows Sidney is young and this loss has hit him hard and he just wants to let the boy cry.

He drives Sidney to his house where the young Canadian has been staying and leaves him alone under a blanket in front of a funny movie, walking to his kitchen with the excuse of getting him some popcorn. He isn't surprised when Sidney says nothing, just staring blankly at the television with still wet eyes, barely seeing the pictures.

He dials a number into his phone and isn't surprised when it goes to an answering machine. He speaks in his native tongue, one he knows only one person will understand, calling, "Alex, Alex, answer the phone. I need to talk to you." He's getting impatient and it shows in his tone, but it works because the phone is soon picked up.

"What's so important?", he hears from the other line, the voice gruff. He rolls his eyes; Alex is always trying to act all grumpy and tough, but he knows better. As soon as he says Sidney's name, he knows his fellow Russian will melt.

"What are you doing tonight?", he answers Alex's question with a question. He laughs inwardly at Alex's growl.

"Nothing," the man says reluctantly, and he can hear Alex getting frustrated so he decides to cut to the chase before he finds himself talking to the dial tone.

"Sidney needs you," he says firmly, his sincerity showing through, and he can almost hear Alex's anger fade away as he answers.

"What happened?", he asks but Evgeni gets the feeling he already knows.

He sighs."We lost tonight...in a shutout."

He can just see Alex shrug."Kid's gotta learn to accept defeat sometime."

He fights the urge to let fly some very colorful curses, one of the first definitely calling his friend a huge asshole."You don't understand, Al. He's taking this one hard....it's his first playoffs...he thinks it's his fault."

Alex sighs. "He'll get over it, Ev...he needs to grow up just a little bit."

Evgeni doesn't want to throw this out there, but he realizes he has no choice if he wants to help the distraught Canadian up in his room right now. "He's been crying since we got off the ice."

He hears the sounds of Alex running up the stairs to pack a bag and smiles, knowing he's gotten through to him even before he says, "I'll be right there....give me an hour."

He hangs up the phone with a thank you and sticks a bag of popcorn in the microwave to save face in front of Sidney. He wants Alex's arrival to be a surprise and he knows Sidney will love it even more if he doesn't know.

"Ev?", he hears from upstairs and he takes the bag of kernals out of the microwave and hurries back up to his room. Sidney is laying on his side, curled into a ball while the end credits of the movie play out on mute.

Evgeni can see his friend has been crying again and he hands Sidney the bag of popcorn, knowing that he'll want something to snack on while he's depressed. Sidney pulls the tabs and stuffs a handful in his mouth, tears starting to fall from his eyes again.

"Thanks, Ev," he mumbles around his snack. Evgeni puts a hand on his shoulder and squeezes, giving him a reassuring smile.

"No problem, Sid...it'll be okay." He sits back on the bed, watching Sidney carefully. "Are you gonna go to bed yet?"

Sidney shakes his head, eating another handful of popcorn. "Can't sleep."

Evgeni doesn't smile, but he wants to, because Sidney staying awake plays right into his surprise.

They sit and talk about everything but the game for a long time, and they're half-asleep until Evgeni hears the doorbell.

Sidney looks at the clock with a raised brow. "Visitors at one, Ev? Is there something I should know?"

Evgeni pinches his cheek. "Haha, you think you're so cute, don't you." He holds his hand up to Sidney as he stands in the doorway, saying quickly, "Stay here and I'll bring them up."

He hears the doorbell again and winces as he hears in Russian, "Wake the fuck up, Evgeni!" He turns to Sidney and knows he's heard because the boy's eyes are wide and hopeful, his lips parted to ask, "Is that who I think it is?"

Evgeni hears the same sentence in English and sighs. Sidney is out of bed and down the stairs before he can even move, rushing to open the door.

He steps to the top of the stairs and has to smile as his friend throws himself at Alex, grabbing the older man and holding tight as he sobs his relief to see him.

Alex laughs quietly as he pushes Sidney back through the door, dragging his suitcase behind him. "Think you can get this, Ev?", he asks, staring fondly at the man on his chest."I'm kinda busy here."

Evgeni rushes down the stairs to take his stuff, throwing it into a closet and just standing to watch the spectacle before him. Alex is holding Sidney tenderly, murmuring, "It's alright, baby, I'm here..." and Sidney is just crying into his shirt, muttering incoherent nonsense that nothing can be gotten out of but a, "so happy you're here."

Alex, easily the stronger of the two, swings Sidney into his arms and carries him up the stairs, calling to Evgeni, "You're taking the couch tonight, Ev." Evgeni sighs and nods, knowing he'll do anything to keep Sidney happy and privacy with Alex is what'll do that.

Alex sets Sidney on his feet inside his and Evgeni's room and steps out of his shoes, also tossing his shirt on the floor. He waits 'til Sidney does the same, then pulls his lover onto the bed and lays with him, stroking his chest reverently. "I'm sorry you lost, love," he says quietly, placing a kiss on the hand he's holding. "It really wasn't your fault," he adds, moving his lips from Sidney's fingers to his lips.

Sidney sighs. "I wish I could believe that, Alex. But, I didn't score during the last game, and I didn't score enough during the others. The team counts on me to make those big goals that help us win games, and I let them down." Another lone tear slips down his cheek.

Alex wipes it away angrily. "It's NOT your fault, Sid. Everyone tried hard to win those games and if they didn't, it's the fault of all of them!"

Sidney nods,"Okay...but I don't wanna talk about it anymore. I wish I could forget tonight ever happened." He bites his lip to keep from crying anymore, looking up at Alex with puppy dog eyes.

Alex's eyes are dark as he sees that delectable pink flesh being torn by the perfect pearly teeth. "I would love to help with that," he says huskily, gently pulling Sidney's lip from his teeth.

Sidney smiles because he knows what Alex is thinking. "I'd like that," he replies, tilting his head up for the kiss he knows is coming. Sure enough, Alex kisses him hard, nibbling his lips and tongue and running burning fingers up and down his chest.

Sidney arches into his touch, letting him plunder his mouth to his pleasure. The Canadian's fingers move to Alex's zipper and he pulls at it until his jeans are undone, pushing them down his hips while trying not to break contact with his lips. Alex's talented hands, so skilled with a hockey stick, have already managed to undo his and they're quickly gone, leaving them both in their boxers.

He grinds upward against Alex's cock, feeling the man respond with equal pressure and moaning at the friction. "I want....mm...you inside," he pants, pushing harder and harder against the Russian's moving hips.

Alex reaches into the bedstand for the condom and lube he knows will be there with one hand while he divests Sidney of his underwear with the other. His finger slips easily into Sidney, being squeezed immediately by his tight heat as the Canadian removes his lover's boxers, leaving them both naked. Sidney groans against Alex's mouth as a second, then third finger is pushed into him, and soon, he's thrusting his hips, trying to take more, and Alex knows he's ready.

"Are you sure, babe? ", he asks, though he really doesn't want to, his cock poised to enter his lover. But Sidney is quick to reassure him, pressing his heels into Alex's back to push him inside, his mouth dropping open to gasp, "Make love to me, Alex...make me forget."

Alex begins to move slowly and surely, but it appears that's all they need that night as they both feel their balls begin to tighten. It's not long before Sidney is coming over Alex's pumping fist and Alex is filling the condom inside Sidney, both of them groaning their release.

After it's over, Alex pulls out and flops next to Sidney on the bed, still panting. Sidney rolls to lay on his chest, grabbing their usual washcloth out of the drawer and cleaning them up as best he can. Alex ties the condom and tosses it into a trashcan on the other side of the bed, pulling Sidney up for a kiss. They're both smiling as they part and Sidney's head rests automatically on Alex's shoulder, his face buried in his neck.

Sidney inhales deeply the scent of Alex, still smiling. "I love you, Alex."

Alex's heart stops for a second..he never knows what to say when Sidney gets into one of his super caring moods. But, for tonight, he figures he can compromise. "Me too," he says, softening the blow of being unable to say the words with a long, slow kiss. "And, hey, there'll be other playoff games...ones you'll win. Don't worry about this one."

Alex can feel Sidney's body relaxing as he moves toward sleep, but he's awake long enough to mutter, " I don't mind losing if I get comforted like this, really."

Alex smiles as Sidney yawns adorably and falls asleep on his chest, breathing deeply over his neck. He pulls the covers over them and turns off the lamp. "I like comforting you," he says aloud and he realizes that it's true.

His eyelids are starting to droop, though, so now is not the time for epiphanies and reluctant admissions. He'll think more in the morning. For now, sleeping with his lover sounds just perfect to him.

If you like it, let me know  :)
