My Future

Well it is official. I accepted an agreement with PMC-Sierra for a four month work term and if they like me and I like them, I will be brought on full time. The position is a firmware designer for the data storage group. PMC-Sierra makes chips: microcontrollers, networking chips, data storage chips, etc... and lots of cool hardware stuff. Thanks Magic. I'll do my best to impress them. As a side project I am going to write my own real time OS. I've got notes from the CS website for real time. I tried getting stuff from the ECE website but of course they have things blocked, you have to be registered in the course to access the info. Bastards!

(And I'd offer to buy the car off of you, as I'm sort of looking for a vehicle, but somehow I don't think it'll make it home more than once.)

And have fun driving standard, it's a bitch to learn but once you get the hang of it... It's piles of fun. :D

I don't think the car will make to Saskatoon either. I plan to donate it so I'll see how that goes. I am looking forward to cycling all over while in BC. I can really save money that way (no gas, less or no insurance).

I get claustraphobic in tents so probably no to camping :S

I'll be working downtownish at Vancouver Coastal Health. Where will you be working, geography-wise?
