Turns out Finchy is female and some sort of Waxwing/WaxBill finch. They checked Finchy and there were no problems, so they figure she must have flown into a window and was a little dazed. Well my iPod Shuffle arrived and I was excited as all hell so I connected her up to my PC's USB port. Of course there's a CD with s/w for Mac or Windows. I run Linux.
