The New York public schools were off this week, so my parents and I took advantage of my dad's vacation, went out for dinner and a show, and met with smashing success on both fronts. We hit up Mamoun's for dinner because it was a lovely day and we wanted something we could take to the park, but we had enough time afterwards that I convinced them ( Read more... )

You should! Apparently there are $20 student tickets, so it's all the better if you can find a friend with a student ID to drag along.

I'm sorry I missed you at ICON too. I didn't even think about the fact that you might be there until I saw your pictures afterwards, which was silly of me.

Hey there!

I love Mamoun's too, though I'll guiltily confess that it's never been my number one: I was stupidly enamored of Pita Power in Williamsburg for awhile, and then Maoz took the mantel. But Mamoun's East Village location is certainly my default pick for when I'm on my way home, starving, and feeling broke.
