"They did not, however, discuss this use of the pronoun [we], although both thought about it."

Wow, it’s been over a month, hasn’t it? And there's a lot to catch up on. So I should just stop pretending that this entry will have any sort of a narrative thread and cue the bullet points:
  • To my credit, the delay in posting is not entirely my fault. In fact, I'd like to lay most of the blame on moderntime, who—in a clear attempt to sabotage me—lent me Read more... )

Sorry, I meant to mention that in the reply to your last letter that I haven't sent yet, but as you can see, I've been busy doing... um... lots of very important work related things. :P

Anyway, the cover is a bit later than I was hoping to have it, but the important thing is that it's coming soon. It might take a while longer before I can actually *show* it to you, especially if our art director wants to design it first, but... soon, in any event.

Oooh, very cool. I’ll have to make absolutely sure there’s no legal issue with art rights or anything, but I highly doubt that web banners et al. will pose a problem.

Thanks re: the room. It’s hard to justify the time I’ve spent on it, but I’m about as anal about my personal environment as I am about everything else, so I think it was worth it.

I forget if you've ever had the occasion to read slush around here. Not to be uncharitable, but it tends to change one's idea considerably about what sort of skill set it takes to write "a whole novel".

Book jacket wallpaper would undoubtedly be an improvement. I'll propose it to our art director. :)

-Love the rejection letter.
-Also a fan of the gothic updates to your room decorations (i.e. keyboard, artwork, you).
-The flower district is beautiful. I've walked down that street very very late at night, when the deliverymen are unloading the next day's flowers, and it looks and smells wonderful.

Hope the New Years crepe-making went well, sorry I could not have been of more service recipe-wise. Would be glad to help you cook on a separate occasion, though. You are well-missed! I hope I see you soon! :)

I'm always looking for cooking buddies. Seriously. If you ever find yourself with free time and without dinner plans, let me know and we'll see if you can make it over here or I over there.

At the very least, I'll be proposing a cookie swap for Feb. 14th. Unless—circumstances being what they are—you have plans for that night. Hmm.

Hmm. I don't think I told Jim either. I wonder if I should leave it a surprise or give him some time to adjust to the idea.

Oh, god. If you're ever around 250 Mulberry, you should go in and meet them. They're so much better in person.

What is it with people like you having livejournals, anyway? You're threatening to make this something that not only losers do.
