That IS a more creative approach than I was taking. But I have something called the "back door" test. For any prospective cat name, I always imagine myself calling it out the back door repeatedly at odd times of day. Then I imagine if I would feel dorky doing it with that particular name. I don't think any of those names lend themselves to being broadcast throughout the neighborhood. Though they're all better names than "Tofu." And god knows the neighbors at my old house heard me yelling that one often enough.
