Personal Defect?

I'm not even 21 years old and a vast majority of my close friends are finding themselves married, soon to be parents, or both and I don't know how much more I can deal with before feeling totally defective. I agree with you (except not about feeling pressured). I don't want to settle down for many years. I have three classmates who are married. Three who have a child (not the same three as who are married). Another who is pregnant and engaged. And beyond that, MANY of my closest friends are confident that they are dating their future spouses. But I don't feel pressured at all. I feel completely free that I don't have that kind of responsibility/commitment. As of now, when I graduate I will have complete freedom to do whatever I want wherever I want to do it, and I love knowing that. Just remember that you're the lucky one.

Honestly don't worry about it. There is no rush!! I've always said except in rare cases people shouldn't get married before 25. And a higher percentage of people that marry young get divorced. I would actually be concerned if you at 21 WANTED to get married and start popping out kids. There is absolutely nothing wrong you with. You are completely normal...well in that aspect anyway! :-)

Enjoy your freedom. Relax and when the time is right your prince charming will come riding up on his white horse to sweep you off your feet and take you off to his castle to live happily ever after. Ever after!
